General conditions

In accordance with EU consumer rights legislation, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receipt, without providing a reason.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, items must:

Be new and unused.
Be returned in their original packaging and as received.
Have a request submitted via the Dicci Returns & Exchanges online form.
Be shipped at the customer's responsibility.
For shipments outside Europe, we recommend using DDP (Delivery Duties Paid) to avoid delays or extra fees.

Non-returnable items:

Used or damaged items
Items with damaged original packaging
Personalized items (e.g. engraved pieces or items made to order)
Limited or exclusive edition items (e.g. numbered pieces or items from discontinued collections)
Gift cards, gift wraps, earrings and underwear

How to submit a request

Access the Returns & Exchanges form on the Dicci website.
Enter your order number and email/contact.
Select the type of request (refund, exchange, store credit).
You will receive an email with detailed instructions for sending your item.
All shipping is the customer's responsibility. You may use any carrier of your choice, but we recommend tracked or insured shipping for items over 20€.

Return options

In-store (Porto)	Drop off your return directly at Dicci Store, Avenida da Boavista 641, 4100-127 Porto. Bring your order confirmation for a smooth process.
By mail	Submit your request through the online form and ship the item to the address above. All shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. Dicci is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven't received your refund yet, please follow these steps before reaching out:

Contact your credit card provider, it may take a few days for the refund to appear.

Gifts

Situation	How it works
Gift shipped directly to you	You will receive store credit for the value of the returned item. To process your request, please provide the email address of the original purchaser for order verification, they will not be contacted or notified. The store credit will be issued to your email address.
Gift shipped to the purchaser	The refund will be issued to the original purchaser.

Care Guide - Stainless Steel Jewelry

Dicci works with different materials depending on the piece, including 925 silver and natural stones. For our stainless steel pieces, we chose 316L surgical-grade steel: one of the most durable alloys available, built for people who don't want to think twice before jumping in the ocean.

About 316L Stainless Steel

316L is a surgical-grade alloy used in medical implants and marine equipment for its long-term resistance to corrosion, rust, and wear. It's one of the hardest-wearing materials available for everyday jewelry.

316L contains trace amounts of nickel, but at levels well below most regulatory thresholds. Suitable for the majority of people with sensitive skin. If you have a confirmed nickel allergy, test with a short wear period first.

Unlike sterling silver, natural steel doesn't tarnish or discolor with normal use. It holds its finish indefinitely with minimal care.

Natural Steel vs. Plated Pieces

Some pieces have a layer of gold or silver plating over the 316L base. The steel itself is permanent; the plating is a finish, it adds the look of a precious metal but requires more care to maintain.

Natural steel

No restrictions in water: shower, pool, and ocean are all fine.
Wear it to the gym without concern. Sweat and friction don't affect natural steel.
Cleans easily with a soft cloth and warm water.

Gold & silver plated

Water: keep exposure moderate. Natural steel handles immersion, plating fades faster with repeated contact.
Gym & sweat: remove during intense workouts. Friction and sweat are the main causes of finish wear.
Perfumes, sunscreen & lotions: apply first, let dry, then put on your jewelry. Chemical residue degrades plating faster than anything else.
With daily wear, expect the finish to last around 1–3 years. With careful use, considerably longer.

Note for silver-plated pieces: slight darkening over time is normal, not a defect. A soft cloth with mild soap restores the finish in most cases.

Cleaning & Storage

Cleaning

Wipe with a dry microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints and surface residue after each wear.
For a deeper clean, use warm water and a small amount of mild soap, then rinse and dry completely.
No professional polishing needed. A soft cloth is almost always enough.

Storage

Store pieces separately. 316L steel is hard enough to scratch other metals and plated surfaces.
Always dry thoroughly before storing. Moisture trapped in a closed space can affect plated finishes over time.
Individual pouches or a compartmentalized tray prevent micro-scratches from steel-on-steel contact.
